Ft. Lauderdale Beauty School Students at the Beacon Awards

Aveda Institute South Florida has students that come from Ft. Lauderdale, Davie, Hollywood, and even Miami.  They all gather at one of the best Florida beauty schools to learn from industry leaders and fine tune their craft.  Evidence of this is student Stephany Cherry taking home a win at the 2015 Beacon Awards.  Also this year, Aveda Institute South Florida had a Beacon honorable mention with student Savanah Joseph.

The Beacon program provides cosmetology students with the opportunity to expand their education and network with the industry’s highest profile salon owners, professionals and stylists. Beacon students attend specialized classes with the biggest names in the industry, get up close and personal with NAHA winners and finalists and get a firm understanding of the business of beauty. The event occurs each July during PBA Beauty Week and is held in Las Vegas. There is a Beacon entry process where student’s work is judged on creativity, professionalism and the content of their professional portfolio. Student’s who earn the highest scores are invited to attend the live educational program during Beauty week. The entry process is designed to help develop students into salon professionals.
