Orlando Student

“To stand out as someone exceptional, I help my classmates as much as possible, try my best to never have my educator bring me my traveler, and make my guests feel as beautiful as they are.

I chose Aveda because of the mission. It is important to me that we as people, care for the world we live in and practice environmental leadership. I also connect with the yoga based teaching.

My experience with Aveda includes participating in the Jungala hair show as a intro student, and currently working for Salon Dulay, an Aveda salon located in Windermere.  I received the job after meeting with them at the Career Fair in our Institute.”

What do you do as a student to stand out as someone exceptional in our student body?

“I believe I stand out here at Aveda because I’ve always had a very outgoing personality and love to make people laugh. Although most of us are going through tough times out of Aveda, I like to make sure everyone is smiling while they’re here. I also love connecting with my guests on a personal level and am a great listener.”

Why did you choose Aveda?

“I actually chose Aveda because my former stylist went to an Aveda Institute and recommended the education program. She currently works at an Aveda salon and I’ve always loved the environment there. I truly believe in our mission statement and love how we are always involved in the community.”

Where did you go to high school?

“I went to Sandwich High School in Sandwich, Massachusetts and played for their varsity field hockey team.”

Tell us more! Any extra information such as hobbies or organizations you are/were involved in?

“While attending Aveda, I was given the opportunity to do hair and makeup for the Father/Daughter Princess Ball 2016 in Orlando. I am also a part of the Flashes of Hope program, by doing hair and makeup for the families and children at a variety of children’s hospitals.”

“I’m very passionate about what I do, and I believe that shows! I focus on my guest needs and my goal is to have them feeling and looking amazing. I’ve put a lot of dedication into my work to ensure I’m giving everyone exceptional service!
I chose Aveda because of their major role in the community. I love that Aveda does fashion shows and events to raise money for organizations. Aveda makes everyone part of their family and changes lives everyday.
I went to Zenith High School in Kissimmee, Florida.  I am a growing makeup artist; I have always had a huge passion for makeup. I chose to be an esthetician because I have always believed that in order to become a successful makeup artist you need to know more than just the products you put on your guest face. It’s about knowing the skin and being able to educate your guest on how to take care of their skin!”
