“My journey at Aveda Institute – Tampa Bay began in fall of 2018. I graduated high school in May and knew I wanted to go to cosmetology school. I had just moved to Florida from Louisville, KY. I’ve loved hair & makeup and since I was little – always playing dress up or playing with my hair. Beauty is such a great creative outlet for me – and a fun way to try new things and new looks! The cosmetology program at Aveda Institute – Tampa Bay has given me the opportunity to do exactly that!”

My journey with Aveda Institute – Tampa Bay began in June! My hair has always been my way of expressing myself— my outlet for creativity, my fun & most of all my passion! Before I started at Aveda I was a student at Saint Leo University— #golions, where I majored in Psychology. Graduating with my bachelor’s degree was definitely a huge accomplishment for me, and I will never regret reaching that goal. However, something was still missing, and for a moment I felt a bit lost & confused about where my next step will be. Then I started thinking of a way I could apply my passion for hair & my desire to help others & bam, becoming a hairstylist & going to Aveda Institute – Tampa Bay came to mind! Being a hairstylist is my spin on being a psychologist, because it’s such a fun & exciting way of helping others and also make them feel AMAZING! When you look good, you feel good ✨ I am so blessed to be learning from such an amazing school & educators. So proud to be with Aveda!
