Statement:

The health and safety of our partners, students, and guests is at the heart of everything we do as a company. We remain focused on personal and school hygiene now more than ever, with continued focus on keeping people healthy and safe.

We are closely monitoring the situation and following guidance from public health officials and government agencies, including the Center of Disease Control (CDC) and World Health Organization (WHO). The CDC has shared that for most of the American public, the immediate risk is considered low. We will continue to make ongoing assessments and stay in constant communication with partners, students, and guests to provide information and guidance as developments unfold. Listed below are the steps our partners and students are taking in the prevention of spreading COVID-19.

Sanitation & Institute Cleanliness:
Cleanliness of our institutes is always a top priority for us. Our school will continue to follow Cosmetology and Barbering State boards regulation of mandatory cleaning and disinfection. In addition, increased sanitization measures are being added to all locations with extra attention to high traffic areas.

Washing Hands:
The CDC recommends washing of hands for 20 seconds to prevent the spread of germs. Partners and students are encouraged to wash their hands for at least 20 seconds after servicing a guest, eating, using the restroom, blowing of nose, coughing or sneezing.

Guest and Student Attendance:
For guests with scheduled services, we’re happy to reschedule for a later date. We encourage guests to reschedule if they are not feeling well. We also encourage students and partners to stay home if they are experiencing a fever or other symptoms. We will allow students to make up hours for time missed due to sickness. Students are encouraged to fill out expected absence forms in the event that they will be absent and work with Directors and Student Care Managers on a plan to make up the missed hours. Upon returning to work or school, partners and students must provide a Doctor’s note.

Public Safety and Sanitation Agreement:
We are requiring each partner, student and guest to sign a Public Safety and Sanitation Agreement daily to confirm the health and safety of each person in our institute building.

Hands Off Contact:
We are modifying the wellness practices that we provide our guests to avoid unnecessary hand-to-hand contact. Our students will offer extended, luxury shampoo scalp massages instead of hand massage wellness. Our partners and students will also practice hands off contact and avoid hugging or shaking hands to reduce the spread of germs.

We understand this situation is top of mind for all. As circumstances continue to change, our goal is and will continue to be, to provide a safe learning environment for our partners, students, and guests.
