Why I Chose Aveda Beauty Schools
I want a career in the beauty industry because when I started working in a salon when I was 15, I fell in love with it. Everything from greeting the clients to having a smile on their face as their walking out of the salon. Being in the beauty industry, I chose Aveda to pursue my cosmetology license because I feel like Aveda has a strong network team.
In the industry you meet a lot of people and with the Aveda knowledge I feel like I can reach more goals and take my career to the top. Also I like that Aveda uses the best plant derived products which brings a healthier approach to the beauty industry and also attracts more earth friendly clients.

I wanted a career in the beauty industry because it is such a passion and absolute love of mine. I learned how to French Braid at the age of 2 years old. I would beg my parents to let me stay up late just so I could play with their hair and give them crazy up-dos. I always tried to cut my sisters, friends, barbies, and dolls hair..and look, I still do! My dream since I can remember was to be in a huge room, with lots of people doing hair and make-up, go go go go go all day long. This industry is not only just cutting hair, a little color, or a little make-up. It’s ART, it’s fashion, it’s making people beautiful, it’s making people smile, it’s creating your imagination, and it’s a obsession.
I chose Aveda because I knew it fit me perfectly. I’ve been born and raised by a naturalist, my best friend, my mom. We have recycled all my life and I never went to the doctor because my mom didn’t believe in that, she always said they just put a bandaid over something, it doesn’t heal it. It’s true and I’ve definitely learned that at Aveda. Everything is plant derived, they recycle because they actually care about the earth, the educators are absolutely amazing, it’s professional, fun, updated to new trends, they truly do care about each and every one of their students, and I knew I would get the education that I needed to become what I have always dreamed of.
